1. Who we are

Toolwinder (“we,” “us,” or the “Company”) operates the website located at toolwinder.com (the “Service”), which provides free, browser-based utility tools for documents, images, time management, text, and related everyday tasks.

2. Information we do not collect

The Service is architected so that no file, document, image, or piece of text you input into a tool is ever sent to us or to any third party. All processing — merging PDFs, compressing images, formatting text, generating passwords, and every other tool on the site — is performed locally by your device’s browser using client-side code. We do not operate a backend that receives, stores, or has the technical capability to access this content. We also do not require an account, and we do not collect names, email addresses, payment information, or any other personal identifiers to use the Service.

3. Information collected automatically

Like effectively any website, requests to load Toolwinder’s pages pass through our hosting infrastructure, which may automatically log standard technical information inherent to serving web pages — for example, IP address, browser type, device type, referring/exit pages, and timestamps. This is ordinary web-server operation, used only for security, abuse prevention, and keeping the Service running, and is not linked to any tool input or output. We do not layer analytics, tracking pixels, session-recording software, or advertising SDKs on top of this baseline logging, and we do not combine it with any other data to build a profile of you.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set cookies, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies of any kind.

5. Local storage (data that stays on your device)

A small number of tools use your browser’s built-in localStorage— for example, to remember your light/dark theme preference, your recently used tools, a custom list of clocks in the World Clock tool, or custom questions you add in the Truth-or-Dare tool. This data is written and read entirely by your browser, lives only on your device, and is never transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser’s settings (clearing site data for toolwinder.com), and doing so has no effect on your account with us, because no such account exists.

6. Third-party services

The fonts used on this site are bundled and self-hosted at build time rather than loaded from a third-party font network, so visiting the Service does not trigger a request to Google Fonts or any comparable service. The Service does not embed third-party advertising, analytics, or social-media widgets. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy before doing so.

7. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and because we do not collect personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us using the details below and we will address it, though as described above we do not expect to hold any such data in the first place.

8. Data security

Because tool inputs and outputs never leave your device, the practical attack surface for that content is your own browser and machine, not our infrastructure. We still apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to secure the delivery of the Service itself (for example, serving the site over HTTPS) to protect against tampering in transit.

9. International users

The Service is accessible worldwide. Because no personal content processed through a tool is transmitted to us, there is no cross-border transfer of that content to evaluate. Baseline hosting logs described in Section 3 may be processed in the country where our hosting provider’s infrastructure is located.

10. Your rights and choices

Because we do not hold personal data or file content on our servers, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf — the data subject to those actions (theme preference, recent tools, saved clocks, custom questions) is stored on your own device and can be cleared at any time via your browser’s site-data settings. If you are in a jurisdiction that grants statutory privacy rights (for example the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA/CPRA) and believe we hold information about you not described here, contact us using the details in Section 12 and we will respond.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will revise the “Last updated” date above when we do. Material changes that would reduce your privacy protections will be highlighted on this page.
